About lou

My love for travel began as a 10-year old, when my mum began to take me and my beloved sibs with her to her trips abroad; from the Scottish Highlands to the Colosseo walls and experiencing the streets of Rome through the narrative of that infamous Dan Brown novel.

This has planted my curiosity behind the cultural and political narrative of a country, paving my path to a career in Policymaking.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Seeing my mum take us on the road as a single parent, I saw how she thoroughly planned a budget with three kids, and executed an itinerary.

This is something I want to emulate in this blog.

19 countries later (and counting), I want to relay these lessons to others, especially other women, when travelling. I want to share tips for both, budget and affordable luxury travel, as well as practical guidelines of travelling solo, keeping safe and of course - where to eat.

As not everybody can quit their day jobs to travel full-time (although one marvels at the idea!) I would also like to provide an insight for those travelling within their job’s annual leave allowance, and show how much you are still able to explore and experience within a strict time period.

I’m excited to express my creativity through the tool of this blog, and experience this journey with you all.
